MEng project — Class I. Planned, researched, specified, designed, implemented, tested and released an open source web application to provide a community event calendar.

Conducting analysis on a new architecture framework for command and battlespace management systems. Co-ordinating efforts to secure funding for this framework and a related new product development. Leading activities to exhibit the framework to customers at a capability demonstration event.
From Jan 2007, Engineering Programme Lead for an internally-funded activity to develop and demonstrate business capabilities in support of the company's strategic intent. Responsible for planning, delivering and reporting on the programme of work for a team of five, managing the associated risks and opportunities and controlling the £570k budget.
Graduate Conference Manager 2006: Recruited and led a team of four to deliver the annual, high-profile, two-day conference for recent starters, managers and executives on time and within the £110k budget. Identified, engaged and was answerable to the key stakeholders and managed customer and supplier relationships. Controlled the project plan.
Deputy team leader for a project to reduce integration risks in an equipment upgrade project. Set up the project plan and also made technical contributions to software and hardware.
Bid manager for a large overseas radar prospect: Co-ordinated and participated in team activities to prepare for the customer request, including a costing exercise, based on draft requirements. Led the production of a written proposal for a (different) export opportunity.
Business improvement project: Guided the strategy of a multi-business-unit working group by investigating and presenting methods of describing industrial capability. Also worked part-time with a section of the Ministry of Defence to configure a shared working environment to match their contracting processes.
Technology transfer project: Investigated technical and business issues for a new technology.
Designed, developed, documented and tested a web-based reporting application for the London Stock Exchange, which enables significant time savings.
2002: Investigated the integration of communications into radar sensors.
2001: Developed algorithms and modelling techniques for radar applications.
Researched, developed, documented, tested and implemented databases and software for the analysis of electronic circuit designs. Provided user training, supported the software and carried out continuous improvement. Won two national engineering prizes because the project was estimated to be able to save engineering time equivalent to over £700,000 per year.
National finalist, "Science, Engineering and Technology Student of the Year Awards 2004".
Won four awards and a scholarship between 1998 and 2001.
